Can anyone tell me about their spanish language school experiences in South America?

I am considering trying a spanish language school in S. America and was wondering what those of you who have done this think about it. Was it worthwhile. Was it fun or more of a serious learning experience? How are the host families? What age of people did you learn with? Any information is appreciated.

(Yes, it’s very good. I learned alot and had a very nice family. In my school was people from more or less 14 to 30yrs old.)
