She also provided cooking instruction which followed into the eating session where all the prepared items were to be devoured. The menu included aguachile de camarón con mango, cochinita pibil, refried black beans, and yams with dark sugar and spices. For this amazing tutorial in Puerto Vallarta on the introduction to Mexican cooking, the fee was $85 USD for one person, inclusive of tips.

What better way to escape those cold weather doldrums than a relaxing cruise to a warm destination. Cruises offer all the amenities of home, and many more. The all inclusive nature of a cruise vacation makes it easy to relax and put the thought of cold weather and work behind you.

Choosing a destination to escape those cold weather blues can be a fun challenge. There are many options for warm weather cruising. Some may choose the more exotic routes such as the Panama Canal, Australia and New Zealand, or even the Nile River. Others may choose the allure of the Mediterranean and the French Riviera. Still some prefer the South Pacific or the Mexican Riviera.

All of those destinations have a lot to offer, but the five destinations below are the top five for the warm weather seeker.

Multi-Destination Caribbean Cruise

This is by far one of the most popular cruise choices. The Islands of the Caribbean have so much to offer. They are as diverse as they are similar. The sandy beaches, blue waters, and lush jungles entice many visitors to jump ship at each port and explore the many offerings.

These cruises range from a 3 day excursion to 10 day island-hopping expeditions. Some cruises focus on only a couple of islands, while others make a swing around the entire area. On board the ship you can enjoy the entertainment and meals, while resting up for the day trips to the islands. Scuba, snorkeling, fishing, hiking, or simply exploring villages and mountain trails, are all examples of some of the adventures that await you on the islands.

While it is impossible to experience all the Caribbean has to offer in one multi-destination cruise, it does allow the traveler the opportunity to sample a little of each culture. This smorgasbord of experiences opens new opportunities for future vacation planning.

Barbados

While we are still in the Caribbean, Barbados is a superb destination. With nearly constant 80 degree temperatures, soft sand beaches, cool blue waters, and lush vegetation, this is a vacationer’s paradise; a relaxing cruise to the island makes it even more enjoyable.

Barbados offers a rich cultural history coupled with many modern amenities. Friendly, laid back people also make this a choice destination. Throw in some great water recreation, posh resorts, and a hopping nightlife and Barbados becomes an even better choice.

Hawaii

Although not well known as a cruise destination, Hawaii has always been a warm weather destination for travelers. The problem for most vacationers was choosing which island to spend their vacation on. A cruise through the islands eliminates that choice. You get to experience them all.

You could choose a cruise that started in Honolulu and then hop to each island for a great cultural and entertaining vacation. The time aboard ship could be used to rest up between visits to the islands. This is a great way to experience all the islands have to offer in a short amount of time.

For those who enjoy the on-ship part of the cruise the best, there are cruises that depart Mexico or British Columbia and float across the pacific for a very relaxing trip. These are much longer excursions. The onboard time can be spent enjoying all the amenities the ship has to offer before embarking on the many island adventures.

Aruba

Another Caribbean destination, Aruba, is well known for its nightlife. Aruba has often been called the Caribbean’s answer to Las Vegas, with its many lavish casinos and upscale resorts. This island relies on tourism to keep it going, with over fifty percent of its gross national product coming from tourism. That explains why the people are so open and friendly.

The trade winds help keep the temperatures down from the extremes, but the arid, dry climate promises plenty of beach weather. Days spent on the beach and in the warm waters, coupled with nights spent enjoying the resorts and casinos equals fun and relaxation. A low crime rate just adds to the air of relaxation.

U.S. Virgin Islands

This popular string of islands is a hotspot for cruise ship tourism. St. Thomas is the port of choice for shoppers. There are many other attractions and beautiful beaches, as well. Many cruise ships focus their trip on St. Thomas alone, and the passengers are not disappointed. However, the other islands cannot be ignored.

St. John is not a common cruise ship destination, but it is an easy ferry trip from St. Thomas. St. John offers a great look at the nature and history of the islands. And, if it is history you are looking for St. Croix is the destination of choice. It is rich in history with many historical attractions. And Water Island, although not on the cruise ship docket, is a short ferry ride from St. Thomas and offers a relaxing taste of paradise. With less than 200 residents it is an unspoiled gem in the chain of islands.

Instead of cramming the car with luggage or navigating through crowded airport security lines and gates this year, consider vacationing in style without all the hassles with a cruise deal to Mexico and the Panama Canal.

A Chance to Relax

No matter how many games you stuff into the car, podcasts you upload onto our mp3 players or detailed preparations you make, traveling always ends up being the most stressful part of a vacation. It tends not to be until you swipe your hotel key for the first time or sink your feet into hot sand that you can exhale fully and think, “Ahh–vacation has officially begun.”

When you take a cruise, however, the relaxation and fun begins as soon as you set foot on your ship. Offering you the luxury to sit back and relax or party like there’s no tomorrow while drifting to such beautiful and exotic places as Panama or the Mexican Riviera, cruises are like several vacations in one, both on the ship itself and at several vacation hotspots along the way.

Accommodations

Though the least expensive cabins on any cruise ship will be located near the center and most likely be windowless, cruises of the Panama Canal and Mexico, which tend to be longer, are a perfect time to splurge on more spacious quarters with a window or even a balcony so that you can relax and enjoy the view in the privacy of your own room after a long day of activities or excursions.

On Board Amenities

Cruise ships are something akin to giant floating hotel resorts, and feature all of the amenities and activities you’d expect to find at one and then some. For fun seekers, ships host a constant stream of deck and cocktail parties every day in addition to Broadway style musicals and theater, first-rate live bands and other performances. Some ships even offer unique venues like ice skating rinks and large studios where you can catch cooking demonstrations or even game shows.

For times of relaxation, passengers enjoy spending some time at one of the ship’s full service spas for a massage or a facial before chilling out in a sauna or hot tub, or simply lazing in the sun next to a pool.

Of course, when speaking of cruises, one can never forget the food — usually covered in cabin fare. On a typical large cruise ship, famished revelers can expect to find all sorts of delicious morsels to satisfy their palettes, from bottomless buffets to both casual and fine dining restaurants.

Cruises to Mexico

Mexico-bound cruises usually set off from California ports — oftentimes San Diego but also Los Angeles and San Francisco. The most common destinations ports you’ll visit include the Cabo area, located at the southern tip of Baja California and offering the perfect place to relax with some sea fishing, world class golf and beautiful beaches. Most cruises also visit Acapulco, with its vibrant night life, warm bay waters and amazing SCUBA adventures. From Acapulco, many visitors may choose to head a bit east to Cancun, located on the Yucatan Peninsula and featuring a plethora of activities like swimming with the dolphins, guided jungle expeditions and touring the ancient ruins of the extinct Mayan civilization.

Panama Canal

Cruises that visit the Panama Canal offer travelers a few options. You may choose to do a seven to fourteen-day one-way sailing with both Mexican and Central American stops that begins in Florida and ends in California, an even longer round-trip or a seven-day jaunt that includes a partial crossing of the Canal and returns to its port of departure. Whichever journey you choose, you’ll be sure to have the time of your life.

Most cruises to the Panama Canal set off from Miami, Fort Lauderdale or another large Florida port. Regardless of which trip you take, the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean portion of any cruise to the Panama Canal will generally take up seven days and features stops at ports including Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Cartegena, Colombia and the Panama Canal.

An unforgettable highlight of a Panama Canal cruise, of course, is the passage through the canal itself. The canal first opened in 1914 and is to this day one of the largest and most difficult engineering projects ever undertaken. Passengers will be thrilled at getting such a close-up view of one of the most important and revolutionary man-made bodies of water in history.

Make sure that your next vacation is exactly what it should be — a fun, relaxing experience that lets you visit different places, experience different cultures, eat new food, get some sun, and not have to stress about any of it. Slip into a pair of sandals, put on your shades and book a cruise to remember to Mexico and the Panama Canal now.

It’s less than one month away before many kids and students will be out of school for the 2006 summer season, and if you don’t know exactly where to take your family this year for vacation, consider taking a cheap cruise holiday!

With gas prices going through the roof, many families may be reconsidering their vacation plans, and when you have been budgeting for your family trip, taking a cruise may be your best value for your buck.

Holidays are something we all look forward to, whether they’re for winter or summer, and when you finally have the time to take the entire family on a holiday, you want to have the best overall experience.

Finding A Cheap Holiday Is Easy If You Change Your Holiday!

Consider getting away from the traditional vehicle trip to the Theme Parks, or traditional annual camping trip! If you’re looking to do something different this year, and you live in a cruise port city that offers many exciting cruises on select cruise ships to the Caribbean or Mexico, you may be pleasantly surprised on the cruise prices and the incredible discounts they offer for the summer season.

You and your family can enjoy an inclusive cruising experience and voyage to many exotic islands, Mexican historical cities and more! Even though this is your vacation, it can also be an educational experience for the children and you as well.

For The Price of A Road Trip You Can Easily Cruise In Exotic Vacation Style!

Many cruise lines like Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean offer deep summer discounts to the Caribbean and Mexican destinations, and with summer being their low season, families can take advantage of these savings. With that in mind, families and individuals that live near a cruise port, virtually everything is covered in your cruise package, such as your accommodations, most if not all meals and beverages, and fantastic daily and nightly entertainment.

For families that don’t live in a city with access to a cruise port, summer deals from cruise companies usually provide extremely low airfare cruise packages, that can easily cost less than your Theme Park family vacation!

If you don’t believe me, consider the fact that once you get to the Theme Parks of your choice, you have to think about your vehicle transportation to and from your hotel if you are far from the park property, plus all your meals, beverages, and entertainment costs for the entire family. These expenses can add up very quickly, and in most cases are very difficult to budget for on vacation, because the saying goes, “when you’re on vacation, you normally spend more than you budget for in the beginning.”

With summer cruising, you arrive on the ship, your bags are taken directly to your room by the ship’s courteous staff, and all you have to do is get ready to hit the cruise ship’s spectacular buffet prior to leaving your port to the first exciting destination on your cruising itinerary.

If You Think The Kids Will Be Bored While Cruising, Think Again!

Even though cruise destinations are the highlight of any cruising vacation, many families and individuals love to take cruises because of all the fun activities they offer, and while on board your ship, you and your children will have no problem finding things to do.

Cruise ships provide some of the best entertainment and kids services in the vacation market, and they cater to everyone including adults and your children alike! While you’re dreaming about the first exotic beach you will be arriving on shortly, the cruise ship has exciting and fun things to do that range from a variety of kids activities, outdoor sports competitions, to a variety of theme parties for all ages.

As your children are completely occupied, you can relax by the pool, or take in the many daily features such as Bingo, Casino, and even a therapeutic massage in their spa. When you start to miss the kids, all of you can meet to take in a fabulous lunch buffet and get re-fuelled for the rest of the day’s events that you can choose to take part in or not.

Remember this, when you plan your summer vacation you can truly have a family experience to remember when selecting a cruise vacation, and with the savings you will experience, you and your family won’t be talking this year about the hot dog that fell off the grill, or the fish that got away again. This summer you will be discussing how exciting it was to see the Mexican Mayan Ruins and all the other fabulous places, how delicious the gourmet cheesecake was for desert, and your family will be laughing all day about dad winning the belly flop contest at the ship’s poolside this year!

Ask Canadians where they are heading for a winter break and you are most likely to hear Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Caribbean cruises. These tourist spots are quite hot among Canadians, because of their sun-soaked beaches and mildly warm climate. Industry experts agree that tourism demands for all these locations are hitting their all-time high because of the lavish accommodation, sight-seeing arrangements, and the variety of travel packages, which these destinations offer.

Mexican Coastal Resorts

In Mexico, Mayan Riviera, Cozumel on the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun, and Los Cabos on Baja Peninsula are the most popular tourist destinations. Particularly, the Yucatan has witnessed a spectacular rise in resort and hotel development because of its amazing beaches and Mayan archaeological sites such as Chichen Itza and Tulum. The Mayan Riviera is also popular as the top destination for Canadian travelers. Climbing up the popularity charts are also Puerto Vallarta and a revitalized Acapulco on the Pacific coast. In Puerto Vallarta, the destination that is gaining rapid popularity is Nuevo Vallarta, which is located at north of the old town.

Growing Golf in Cuba

Cuba was devoid of any golf culture until the famous Varadero Golf was built. After it was set up, the island has just not looked back in terms of the sport’s popularity. Today, Cuba is the most sought after golf destination and is a vital attraction for the local as well as international sports lovers. Currently, the much famous Varadero Golf Club does over 32,000 rounds annually. It intends to add nine more holes to its existing facility, according to the management. A European has been given the responsibility to design the new golf site that is likely to have five holes on ocean, instead of the existing two.

Dominican Republic’s all-inclusive Packages

The growing popularity of The Dominican Republic as a tourist spot is reflected in a spectacular rise in its hotel rooms to nearly 40,000. The destination is among the favorite tourist spot for the Canadians, because of its all-inclusive vacations. In such packages, one up-front payment covers facilities including airfare, accommodation, unlimited alcohol, food, and resort activities like tennis and windsurfing. So much so that the popularity of the Dominion Republic’s all-inclusive packages have reached Caribbean and Mexican destinations. Canadian tourists heading to the Dominion Republic pay as low as $999 per person for an all-inclusive trip to a hotel/resort situated at just 10 minutes away from Puerto Plata.

Caribbean Cruises

Even the biggest tropical storms move at snail’s pace when compared with the cruise ships, which is the biggest reason for the growing popularity of the Caribbean cruises. The nice weather of the Caribbean serves like an icing on the hot cake. Even a hurricane in the cruise’s path seems like a vacuum cleaner that sucks the moisture out of the air, leaving behind bright sunny days for the tourists. Moreover, with the political uncertainties across the globe, the Canadians prefer holiday trips close to home, which is another reason contributing towards the increasing popularity of Caribbean cruises.

Mexico offers some of the worlds best place to pay golf along with doing other tourist attractions. The most favorite part of the Mexico golf destination is the Mexican Baja California. It is a dream come true and a vacations paradise for the golfing enthusiasts.

It is house to some of the finest golf course and beaches. These beaches are made up crystal clear azure water, sugar white sands and those warm breezes across the ocean.

Baja in Mexico was the biggest sea fishing destination in the Mexico in the 1950 era. Then a little later some of the most exclusive lodges were beginning to appear in the area of Cabo San Lucas and the San Jose del Cabo. There is a 20 mile road which connects these. The howl area is known as Los Cabos.

Through there has been constant growth in this area and it became a great golfing destination of the world the best part is that these area are still very beautiful with the Mexican government trying their best to achieve the fine balance between tourism and retaining the glory and the purity of the area. The area is now dotted by rocky coves, beautiful shiny beaches and the fish in clear blue waters.

The area of Cabo San Lucas is very tourist like with attractions in the form of bars, boutiques and spas. It has variety to offer which will appeal the most of the travelers going there for golf. However the other side of that 20 mile corridor is the San Jose Del Cabo which is authentic Mexican and is kind of slow paced. It has dusty streets and old buildings dotting the landscape. The most beautiful stretch is the 20 mile corridor which has the resorts of all kinds as well as the beaches for everyone.

The golf courses in Baja offer special courses designed Jack Nicklaus and Robert Trent Jones. One of the most famous ones that have been designed by Jack Nicklaus is the Cabo Del Sol. Some of the other ones are Palmilla, Cabo Real and the Cabo San Lucas Country club.

Make sure that while selecting for all the above locations you have the best deals. Your best bet is always to have a package together of hotel, rental cars, airlines and even the golf euipment rentals. Most travel companies will always the entire package together because of the fact that they get assured revenue then.Understanding this psychology of the companies is important to extract discounts with the travel companies.

So tee off in style and enjoy the beautiful beaches in Baja.

While often thought of as the place for Spring Break goers and honeymooners, Mexico is the perfect place for a family vacation. The diversity of its people and the vast amount of activities allow for a greater understanding and appreciation of our southern neighbors.

When booking a hotel, try to find a family-friendly resort. These may be in the form of all-inclusive resorts or those offering childcare and kids’ activities. Speak with concierge before making any reservations to grasp their understanding of your family’s needs. Listen to any idea suggestions with respect to museums, tours, sporting activities and other entertainment suited for children.

Before heading to Mexico, make sure your child has a passport, and if traveling as a single parent with shared custody, as an extra safety measure; bring a signed and notarized statement from the other co-parent acknowledging his/her permission for your child participate in a Mexican vacation. It is also important to notify family relatives with expected trip dates and itineraries in case of emergency.

Also remember to buy Mexican Auto Insurance Online before you leave. Quality Mexican Car Insurance online policies include medical payments and car rental, both may be needed in case of an auto accident.

When packing, be sure to bring some of your child’s medicine in chewable form; especially if traveling by air. From a bout of swimmer’s ear to an upset stomach, having a first aid kit ready for your child will help him/her get well soon. Don’t forget about medications for motion sickness; as children are sometimes susceptible to this condition. Also pack a journal and a camera for your child (if he/she is old enough).

Once in Mexico, encourage your child to get out and mix with the locals. Together, photograph as much as possible and help your child with journaling. Whether for a future history report or as part of a school’s cultural celebration week, your child will want to share his/her experiences, and by keeping a detailed record; will make this vacation an unforgettable learning experience.

Its always easier to have fun and peace of mind if you are prepared!

Visit The Mexican Insurance Store for up to date information about Mexiico and quality Mexico Car insurance.
