My mother bought this game and my brother-in-law is hispanic and seemed to have taken offense to the name. It is the name of the game on the box. Just wondering.

The game is based off of a couple of Chinese domino games. The ‘train’ part of the game comes from the way you play the tiles in a line that resembles a track, and when a double is played a new line can be formed that looks like a second track joining up with the first. Also there is an additional line/track coming from the ’station’ that every one can use. It is also called simply ‘Trains’ and there has been no reason that I could find (after researching) that they used Mexican in front of it. I did find out it is also called “…Mexican Express, Mexican Dominoes, and a game Hispanics call “Longana” (spelling?)…” so perhaps it originated in Mexico giving it the name.
