What Spanish language certification is most valuable for an international career?

I am aware that the government of Spain offers the DELE (Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera) as a certification for persons who have learned Spanish as a second language and that this diploma is well recognized.

Are there other language certifications that are more valuable to someone interested in an international career? What is the best way to demonstrate one’s language competency?
